Michael Thompson
Michael Thompson is a trial attorney specializing in personal injury and wrongful death litigation at Varnedoe Thompson. He passionately and effectively represents victims and their families impacted by tractor-trailer accidents, automobile collisions, medical malpractice, and other catastrophic injuries.
With a commitment to guiding clients through every phase of the legal process, Michael ensures clients receive thoughtful and dedicated representation. Before co-founding Varnedoe Thompson, LLC with Carl Varnedoe, Michael practiced with a premier personal injury law firm, where he helped countless victims navigate the complexities of the legal system following life-altering tragedies. Michael began his career as an associate at a mid-sized litigation firm, focusing on liability defense for individuals, insurance carriers, and government entities in personal injury cases.
Michael graduated with honors from the University of Georgia. He continued his education at UGA Law School, graduating cum laude. During law school, he served as a summer clerk for the Honorable John J. Ellington of the Georgia Court of Appeals, prior to Judge Ellington’s elevation to the Georgia Supreme Court. Additionally, Michael was an active member of UGA’s Mock Trial program, regularly advocating on behalf of the school.
Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Michael enjoys spending his free time playing golf, traveling, quail hunting, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs at football games.
